Thankful at Thanksgiving

As we get ready to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday at the Atlanta Union Mission we are so thankful for all of you who pray, volunteer and provide financial resources!  We everyday with your help get the opportunity to see people move from hopelessness to hope!  We are so thankful, as we watch families being restored, lives being changed of the men and women we serve!

We also hear from those who serve at the Mission how their lives are never the same!  This past week I watch a man with his family who so cares for the men bring them to his church service and share with them the love of Christ and also the love he has grown to have for them!   I watched high school students, give sacrificially of their time to pour into the people of the Mission!

It of course is a very busy time in all of our kitchens as we prepare all the food that will be served this week as we will serve thousands of meals!  This food provides the physical nourishment and we pray that the men, women and children will also feel the love of those who serve them and the love that Christ has for all of them.

To all of you we want to say a special thank you and wish you and all your families a very special Thanksgiving!

We thank God for all of you!

Jim
